“To all who come to this happy place; welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past...and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.” - Walt Disney

New...

It's A New Year

Now that 2013 it officially under way we are all getting over our holiday hangovers of presents, candy and theme park merriment.  I am really looking forward to the coming year at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and the entire resort area.

So many changes occurred in 2012, not the least of which was the completion of the BILLION DOLLAR expansion at DCA.  We got an updated Matterhorn Bobsled ride (to mixed reviews), new royalty was added to Downtown Disney in the form of a sandwich shop (Yummy!), the waterways of both Frontierland and Paradise Bay glowed with new color, and for the first time in it's relatively short history the little park across the plaza regularly beat it's big sister in attendance numbers. What a year! (For a full wrap-up read this post)

Now it's time for us to look forward to the coming year and the new things coming.  There's Limited Time Magic invading the parks (see the first update here).  There is new construction to be completed at the new Fantasy Faire just off the Hub, a refurbished Fantasyland Theater is making progress, Alice is getting her safety railings (after what seems like an eternity), and there will be less Thunder over in Frontierland as this iconic attractions goes down for a multi-month makeover.

I invite you to come back here weekly for updates, photos, unique new videos and other exciting things that help us celebrate what we love most... The Original Magic Kingdom.

Get your kicks...

Welcome to the most happening place in S. California -
A little town called Radiator Springs.

The wind is blowing you toward Cars Land, and you will want to follow.

Stop by Flo's and have a yummy lunch,

or zip into the Cozy Cone for a quick snack.

Mater is having a hoedown,

and Luigi is hosting a festival of tires.

Everybody seems to have found there way into town.

All signs seem to point the way,

and directions are posted on every corner.

The Tail Lights are on...

and  you have your licence for fun.

Our Founder, Stanley is waiting. So...

When will we see you in...

Come back soon for more photos and ride videos of
Maters Junkyard Jamboree, Luigi's Flying Tires
and Radiator Springs Racers.

Summer in Anaheim

It's been a week since the unvailing of both Buena Vista Street and Cars Land.
The Matterhorn is back to thrilling guest on a daily basis.
Both parks are fireing on all cylinders and the crowds have arrived.

It must be summer here in Anaheim.

I will continue to post a weekly video through the summer, and maybe a photo update or two, but the frenzy of posts that accompanied the new openings has taken it's toll. Now I need a little rest.

Keep coming back weekly. Full activity (3 weekly posts) will resume in August.

Meanwhile, check out the history bar on the right for past postings you may have missed.

And check out this video (from Disney) of the Grand Reopeing of Cars Land.

It's About Time!

The Billion Dollar Facelift is now completely unwrapped.

Disneylands 2nd gate is now going to face a huge challenge.

Disney California Adventure is now ready for it's close-up.
But, will the public really pay more for the chance to see it?
Were all of the construction walls worth all of the pain?
Would Walt be proud of what has been done?

I believe the answers are Yes! Yes! and Yes!

I hope to share more details about the changes in the next few months.
