“To all who come to this happy place; welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past...and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.” - Walt Disney

not so Frightening Fridays 1

not so Frightening Fridays

Welcome to Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort.

Over the next several Fridays (and maybe even a Wednesday - 10/31)
different parts of the resort will be featured as Disney celebrates
Fall and the Halloween holiday. Tonight we begin just the same way you would
when you arrive at the parks.

Once you exit the parking structure and prepare to board the trams you encounter
the standard Welcome sign, but something has changed...

It seems that several of the Villains are trying to take over.
Ursulla, Cruella, Maleficent, Captain Hook, Jafar, and the Queen of Hearts
all seem intent on taking over the resort.

However, once your tram departs and crosses under the ramp
we see that things are not so scary.

Minnie, Mickey and Donald are all dressed ready for fun.

Further along the tram route we spot a few ghosts.
They seem to welcome us in a spooky way.

And then, Goofy joins them. So the stage is being set.

Once we exit the trams and approach the main gate we are greeted by pumpkin Mickey.

So, we have established that this holiday will be a bit spooky, but not really all that scary.
At least if these characters have anything to say about it.

Pumpkin Donald

Pumpkin Pluto

Pumpkin Minnie

Pumpkin Goofy, with Mickey and Donald

Well, This looks like it will be fun and maybe only a little frightful.

Next week we will venture inside the gates to travel down Main Street.
