Haunted Holidays

 



Today, let's finish our holiday visit to New Orleans Square. Of course one of the biggest holiday traditions at Disneyland has become the Haunted Mansion Holiday.  Since it's introduction it has drawn huge crowds into the imagination of Jack Skellington.  Each year this re-imagining opens in early October to begin the Halloween celebration and then continues through the winter for Christmas.

Day 8

Merry Mardi Gras

 

If Christmas is all about parties, then one of the greatest places to celebrate would have to be New Orleans.  For those of you who can't make the trip down south just hop on over to Disneyland and visit New Orleans Square.  You'll get all the celebrating and festive cheer without the jet lag.

Be sure to look up when walking down the streets.
Overhead the balconies are all decked out for Christmas.

While wandering the Orleans streets be sure to get yourself a Christmas ornament or stop by another shop for some home decorations. Enjoy all of this over a warm bread bowl of clam chowder or a mint julep and  fresh beignets. Be sure to spend some party time in New Orleans.

New Orleans Wreaths

Every years New Orleans Square celebrates Christmas in its own Mardi Gras sort of way.  The streets around the area are decorated with garland and beads and other sorts of revalry.  But along the street out front (bordering the Rivers of America) there are a few little wreaths that really must not be missed.  Take a look.

 

 

 

It looks like the residents here really know how to party!
